We finally had Google (which bought FeedBurner ) update and merge our RSS feed with their services. Took long enough. In any case, I don't think there should be an interruption in service if you read via RSS but you would be well to do if you updated it to the the following RSS URL. New Feed: http://feedproxy.google.com/BurntOrangeReport

(Credit: CNET) It isn't so much the technology behind Zumobi 's free app Ziibii that refreshes RSS on the iPhone and iPod touch as it is its presentation. Ziibii, which means 'river' in Algonquin*, extends the metaphor to depict posts from your various RSS feeds as rafts floating along a stream of information. Watching posts float by is fun concept--for a few minutes at least--and one that's heightened...

Last weekend, I wrote about essential PR blogs to subscribe to in the PR Network that David Jones created, hoping that it might lead more PR bloggers to join that network (it didn’t really). It’s a great list of some of the best thinking and writing anywhere from many in the PR business across North [...]

RSS feeds have become the de facto standard for delivering massive amounts of content in a very simple to read and simple to understand format. Any website delivering daily, weekly or even monthly updates, and lacking a ‘Really Simple Syndication’(RSS) feed, just isn’t delivering what is becoming the most popular form of delivery. Along with [...]

Is RSS Mainstream? - “I have a simple, unscientific test for determining if a web service or product has crossed over into the mainstream: I ask my friends and family — most of whom are not very geeky and generally represent average technology users, in my opinion — if they’re using the service.”

I'm in Venice . That's Italy. Google knows I'm in Italy - it redirects my searches and YouTube to italy. It's not that surprising I'm getting Italian ads. I'm also getting Italian ads via Google Reader. This screen grab shows the ads currently running on TechCrunch. This is pretty naff though. I mean; Google must know I'm not interested in Italian ads while I'm in Reader. Google knows that all my RSS...

When Twitter first took off, I was sceptical. I didn't think it would make it, but I kept my good eye on it to see if it would fizzle out or reach the mainstream. I think it's now safe to say that Twitter has gone mainstream. I don't have an interest in Twitter as a status tool, although I see the allure, I'm more interested in Twitter as an RSS feed alternative. Not in terms of reading RSS feeds,...
