MyBlogLog adds updates from Zillow and Trulia profiles

MyBlogLog had the pleasure this week to sponsor and attend the very first REbarCamp here in San Francisco. In honor of the event, we thought it was about time we showed some love to our rockin’ real estate blogger community!...

Yahoo! MyBlogLog Gets Updated

Yahoo! MyBlogLog has included a couple of updates since the last time I took a close look at the service. For one, sorting through “followers” and considering reciprocal “friend adding” is easier because you can filter through the list of friends in a pretty speedy fashion (especially if you have a hundred or more pending followers). read more

Social networking

I’ve never really gotten it. I have yahoo 360, the google one, a myspace, I twitter, and there’s a few other things I signed up with, like ‘mybloglog’ which until I can figure out what I’m suppose to do with it, it’s a donut hole. With my son and his friends it’s all about how many page views one gets - it’s like the more people who view your page, the more important you become. Never understood that...

Data Portability and Pushability with Gnip

Gnip today announced a much needed piece of the web services infrastructure - a proxy service that sits between Data Publishers (like Digg, Flickr, and Twitter) and Data Consumers (like Plaxo and MyBlogLog) as a means to make moving structured data between services more efficient, flexible and scalable.

Forget Google, Now MyBlogLog Adds Friends without Your Consent

Yeah, okay, I'm still mad at Google for adding every single person I've ever emailed to my "friends" list. But lately worse things have been happening to me over at MyBlogLog ( remember them ?). I know, I know, MBL has long since fallen out of favor with tech & SEM bloggers. I'd forgotten about them, too, other than the occasional "So and so has added you as a contact" e-mails. Until the end of May,...

Gnip is Ping spelled backward

Congratulations to Eric, Jud, and the crew on the launch of their new service, Gnip. MyBlogLog has been using Gnip for a few weeks now and we’re pleased with what we see. Submit and item to Digg and it’ll move your update to the top of our polling queue and you’ll see your updates on [...]

Scripting News for 7/1/2008

I wish Twitter would partner with Gnip Yesterday I wrote a teaser piece masquerading as a vision piece. The vision is not mine, it’s Eric Marcoullier’s, a very affable and brilliant entrepreneur from San Francisco, who founded MyBlogLog and sold it to Yahoo for big bucks a few years back. As we know Twitter is having scaling [...]

I wish Twitter would partner with Gnip

Yesterday I wrote a teaser piece masquerading as a vision piece. The vision is not mine, it's Eric Marcoullier's, a very affable and brilliant entrepreneur from San Francisco, who founded MyBlogLog and sold it to Yahoo for big bucks a few years back. As we know Twitter is having scaling problems, and in fact, some of the problems are related to people pounding their API when they should just be getting...

Gnip Launches To Ease The Strain On Web Services

MyBlogLog founder Eric Marcoullier sold his company to Yahoo in January 2007 for an estimated $10 million. He left Yahoo in July 2007 with the seed of a new idea germinating in his head - “Make data portability suck less.” The result of that thinking is Gnip, a new service we first mentioned in March 2008 [...]

Blog Networks: Like MyBlogLog for Facebook

Blogs just got a whole new audience: the casual reader. There has been some concern as of late that mainstream web users don't really read blogs , but a new Facebook app called " Blog Networks " aims to change that. The easiest way to describe this app is by calling it MyBlogLog for Facebook (as the headline says), but besides the ability to build a community around your blog, the two apps are rather...

1000th Blogpost!

A celebration that is worthy of cheerleaders (picture from Western Carolina University Catamounts website...."Go Cats!") This is my 1000th blogpost. Thank you to all the visitors of this site. I use mybloglog to give me some basic data as to number of visitors etc. I don't check everyday, but the highest number of visitors I have seen was about 350 unique hits in a day and the lowest is.....
