Remember Macromedia Director? The software used to create web, CD, and DVD apps hasn't been updated since 2004 and was all but dead. Or so we thought. Adobe announced Director 11 today with a lot of new features that would have been nice if all Director devs hadn't already moved on. Read More...

William Hurley has been involved in IT for more than half his life, starting after a car accident that left him badly injured. While recovering, he began hacking XObjects for MacroMind and later Macromedia Director in the open source multimedia community. He then went to work at Apple and IBM before joining a string of startups. Last February, Hurley joined BMC Software.
