Alisson’s sweet horror world gives the viewer the creeps while at the same time being very inviting. It’s the quirky use of color and the happy-hobo look of the characters that I find so innocent and charming. Allison recently did Grizzly Bear’s “Ready, Able” video. Links: Official website

Allison Schulnik’s video for Grizzly Bear is an unabashedly handmade stop motion piece. The colorful smears of lumpy clay are put through Bruce Bickford-esque transformations, and the imagery is manipulated well to match the haunting tone of the music. Schulnik is a graduate of the experimental program at CalArts. (Thanks, Max Porter)

via youtube.com Here's the trippy, imaginative, just plain brilliant video for my favorite song off the new Grizzly Bear album, "Ready, Able." I love stop motion! Best YouTube comment so far: "i did not enjoy the art, it was done by a woman the emotion behind it must have been intense." Well played. Posted via web from Lon Harris Save This Page
