Final arrangements have been concluded for the burial of late Dr Ibrahim Tahir, the Talban Bauchi in Bauchi today.Dr Ibrahim Tahir died Tuesday at the Arab Contractors Hospital in Cairo after a protracted illness.

Chairman of the Bauchi State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis/Leprosy and Malaria (BACATMA), Rilwanu Muhammad, has said of about three million people living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria, 60 per cent are women just as majority of them live in the rural areas thereby making it very difficult for them to access adequate medical attention.

A pilgrim from Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State ,Alhaji Sale Ibrahim, has been declared missing in Mecca, Saudi Arabia by his son Muhammad Sale. Sale told newsmen in Mecca yesterday that he personally accompanied his father to the Ka'abah on Friday, Nov. 27, to join thousands of other pilgrims from all over the world.

Governors Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State and Bukola Saraki of Kwara State who visited the President in Saudi Arabia, returned to the country, yesterday, and declared to their colleagues in the Governors' Forum that President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, who is undergoing treatment in a Saudi Arabian hospital for heart ailment, is responding well to treatment.
