I'm sat here watching my licence fee disappear into his petrol tank as he rides up the Pacific Rim, affecting to sympathise with the plight of Filipino street children from the windows of a (presumably) five star hotel. I cannot believe what I'm watching. Is it just me?

Motorcycling through Africa is a fraught business at the best of times as anyone who saw Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor in the TV series Long Way Down will know.
