Interesting that Charlie Rouse isn't on this one, which is a German TV appearance from '63. Maybe he was in the bathroom or something. Man, I love this track, though. So harmonically interesting, and no matter what bizarro collections of notes Monk was calling "chords" that week got hammered out, the root melody still manages to climb through and get stuck in your hindbrain....
