Now that Colm Imbert is seeking damages from the truck owner who died at the Macoya Bailey bridge, he has set a precedent for all vehicle owners whose cars, trucks etc which have been damaged by the potholes, bad roads and police wreckers to be compensated by his Ministry.

... around, making him look either like the victim or hero. Recently Works and Transport Minister Colm Imbert showcased some skills in this area also. I was so amazed to hear the Minister suggest that the driver of the truck that crashed on the Bailey bridge was either speeding or had fallen asleep. Nothing has been concluded, but Mr Imbert spun the whole event around, shifting the focus...

SOMEONE once said that all it takes to be a Minister of Government is a level head. Well, day in day out, I am appalled by statements coming from these PNM Ministers. From Gary Hunt, to Neil Parsanlal, and the latest is from Colm Imbert. He wants to recover monies from the owner of a truck that ran into the Bailey bridge at Macoya.

A $5.5 million programme for the comprehensive desilting of the four underground drains in Port of Spain will be implemented over the next two weeks, Works and Transport Minister Colm Imbert announced yesterday.
