Litchfield Park to honor Marine Corps

The Continental Marines were formed by the Continental Congress on Nov. 10, 1775. They served during the American Revolutionary War but were disbanded in 1783. The organization was brought back into existence in 1798, but the U.S. Marine Corps celebrates its founding as its official birthday.
