MERTHYR TYDFIL assistant manager Danny Carter admitted that its as bad as it gets after he and manager Garry Shephard broke the news to the team that all staff had to take a 50 per cent pay cut for the club to survive.

He had just told his players due to finances at the club they all had to take a 50% pay-cut, the news an hour before kick off was enough to wake the dead because on the field Shephard and assistant Danny Carter have worked wonders.
