... melody that add color the proceedings. The production is dry and solidly in your face with Dave Lombardo's drums and Tom Araya's vocals taking center stage. This approach, while quite effective in a sonic sense, strips away any sheen that might've otherwise added an epic quality to the proceedings. But none of that detracts from the killer-bee solos put forth by axe handlers Kerry...

I know what you're thinking. Why is Geoff Rowley screaming at the hairy man? Well that's UK drum & bass producer Baron , and he's spent the last four years helping Rowley put together a soundtrack for his new skate film, Extremely Sorry. Along the way Baron's collaborated with the likes of Lemmy , Slayer 's Dave Lombardo , Snoop Dogg , Warren G and, here, Black Mountain to tailor...

... feared the operation would also force the cancellation of the band's British dates - but drummer Dave Lombardo insists they will make it across the Atlantic. He says, "We did have to pull out of a Canadian tour with Megadeth because of Tom's situation. But, as far as I'm aware, the British shows will go ahead. Of course, Tom's health must take priority. However, he's making good progress."...

If Black Sabbath is the bride of Satan, Slayer is his trusty whore — they do it faster and more consistently. Guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King, singer-bassist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo formed Slayer in Huntington Park, California, in 1981, and grew into thrash-metal titans who wrote tunes about all things sick and twisted — concentration camps, psychotic...

... Slayer with their follow-up to 2006’s Christ Illusion, their reunion album with original drummer Dave Lombardo. The thing is, Slayer never had the problems their thrash counterparts did. They never lost their edge (in fact Christ Illusion in particular seems a painstaking reminder of that, but more on that in a moment) like Megadeth or Metallica, and unlike Testament or Anthrax, their...
