Sporting News reports that DennisDixon did enough Sunday night to prove he can be the Steelers #2 quarterback: Steelers second year quarterback DennisDixon, who threw for one touchdown and ran 24 yards for another in his first NFL start, likely convinced the coaches he can be the No. 2 quarterback behind Ben Roethlisberger. A [...]
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has worked out without problems since missing Sunday night's game in Baltimore with a concussion. He is expected to resume practicing Wednesday and is expected to play Sunday against Oakland barring any further complications. That means DennisDixon , who started at the Ravens, will return to the bench as Roethlisberger's backup in Week 13.
The internets are still buzzing over that ridiculous 99-yard game-winning touchdown orchestrated by Vince Young that beat Matt Leinart (again). We’ll have some fun with that tomorrow. You know who kind of reminded us of Vince Young in college? DennisDixon. At times, he was the ideal dual threat at Oregon. Who could forget the [...]
Playing in place of Ben Roethlisberger in Week 12 at Baltimore, Steelers QB DennisDixon did better than expected in his first NFL start, gaining 145 yards on 12 of 26 passing with a touchdown to Santonio Holmes along with a score on the ground of his own. The Steelers are without Ben Roethlisberger, backup QB Charlie Batch, and Head & Shoulders spokesmodel Troy Polamalu. In place of Roethlis-Batch will be rookie fifth-round draft pick and former Oregon Duck DennisDixon,...
... Will Peter finally discover what makes egg nog taste like egg nog? (Hint: it’s the eggs!). Will DennisDixon dazzle Peter with his quiver full of gorgeous passes that are also horribly inaccurate? Will Matthew Stafford’s moaning send him spiraling into ecstasy once more? Read on… BUT FIRST! A reader chimes in! You may remember Peter’s lofty dissertation on the excellence of the Pacific...
... the only reason this game was even close. Second, if indeed he wasn’t 100%, why don’t you start DennisDixon, who played very well in Baltimore, at HOME against the Raiders?!? Three reasons: a) Roethlisberger’s arrogance, b) Hines Ward’s complaining, c) Coach Tomlin’s inability to stand up to his star players. So if this is indeed a reason, it’s indicative of much bigger problems....
