National chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke, yesterday said that the successful conduct of local government elections in Yobe State is a confirmation of the credence of the party and a proof that if given the mandate to govern Nigeria, the party shall offer good leadership and conduct transparent and credible election for the country.

... years ago, gunmen invaded the Lagos home of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke, fired many shots on him and left him for dead. Police investigations were futile. Chief Ume-Ezeoke survived and still has a scared face from the incident.He was lucky. Chief James Bola Ige was assassinated as the Attorney-General of the Federation in December...
