... Except the FIA. The sports’ governing body rushed to introduce the new concept for 2009, ignoring FOTA’s more reasonable suggestion to retain the points system, but give more points for race wins. ... and that the FIA is a shill for his needs and desire to reduce the Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) to a shambling heap of gelatinous goo. FOTA is now reduced to three manufacturers and Ferrari issued one of its strongest statements yesterday concerning Toyota’s exit equating it to a murder mystery. ... was met with disdain from all corners of F1 and thus formed the Formula One Teams Association or FOTA. A recent article leveraged that Toyota’s exit has left FOTA neutered as they are down to three manufacturers. But FOTA stands for “teams Association” not manufacturers.
