... to wow you, but could be a useful arm to have around come spring training. With Wesley Wright, Felipe Paulino and Wilton Lopez expected to compete for the fifth starter's slot, Sadowksi should have an opportunity as well. If he can't beat one of them out, it's not as if the starting rotation in Round Rock is overflowing with talent, so he will be ready if and when he is needed. Not...

The Rangers and Astros have interest in free agent righty Brett Myers, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick. Myers, 29, posted a 4.84 ERA in 70.6 innings this year, working around hip surgery. We learned last month that the Phillies won't be re-signing Myers, who is open to starting or relieving in 2010. For the Astros, using Myers in the rotation would probably mean bumping Felipe Paulino....

... a skill that should not be wasted as a middle reliever. Wright will join Wilton Lopez and Felipe Paulino as candidates for the fifth starter's slot. Also pitching in the Dominican are Fernando Abad and Jose Capellan. Abad was recently added to the 40 man roster, so I would assume that the Astros think there's potential in his left arm. ... or Michael Bourn, just for starters. Jason Castro and names like Ross Seaton, Jordan Lyles or Felipe Paulino may also be thrown into the mix. If the deal looked something like Norris, Pence, Lyles and Castro for Halladay and a couple of other prospects, what say you? There is one order of business before I would even consider pulling the trigger: Any trade possibility would require...

... strikeout rate. Avg. Fastball velocity: 94 MPH Pitches: Fastball, slider, power changeup 2. Felipe Paulino (26), RHP. One of the hardest throwers in the Astros organization, Felipe Paulino has been an interesting prospect for awhile, but he hasn't quite been able to put it together. He's been hurt by an unusually high HR/FB rate and occasional command problems, but he's...

... Manzella or Chris Johnson can make it in the majors. No more crossing your fingers, hoping that Felipe Paulino finally puts it all together. No more begging and pleading for management to rush along Jason Castro or give J.R. Towles one more chance. With another $100 million, the Astros can easily offer arbitration to Jose Valverde and Latroy Hawkins. Heck, with another $100 million,...
