Fortis Bank NV Will Lend 10.7 Million Euro to MMK-METIZ

THE CHELYABINSK OBLAST. Fortis Bank NV (Belgium) will take part in the upgrading of manufacturing facilities at OJSC MMK-METIZ, member of the MMK Group's steel and wire division. Under an export credit agreement, the bank will put up money for 85 per cent of the value of contracts for new equipment engineering, manufacturing, and delivery.

Ping An swings to third-quarter profit

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Ping An Insurance Group said Wednesday it swung to a third-quarter profit of 2.58 billion yuan ($377.8 million), from a 7.81 billion yuan loss in the same period last year, when it saw a large impairment charge stemming from its investment in Fortis NV.
