Tonight at eight o' clock, George Ttoouli's first collection, Static Exile , has its London launch at The Slaughtered Lamb . Here is a poem from the collection, first published in Pomegranate . Love on a Monday Evening Today I felt fear and it was the grandest thing - like the crown of my head would lift off. George Ttoouli was born in London in 1979 to Greek parents. An Honorary Teaching Fellow for the Warwick Writing Programme, he co-founded the Heaventree Press in 2002, has worked in the education team at the Poetry Society, and co-edits poetry blogzine, Gists & Piths. ... that was an absolute pleasure to hear. There was excellent support from Myra Connell, Matt Nunn, George Ttoouli and Simon Turner , too, and some good open mic-ers. I bought copies of David's pamphlet (a limited edition version, in fact) and of George's new collection, Static Exile (from Penned In The Margins), and both made me think about how much better poetry books look these...
