This is certainly an issue (if not a full-blown problem) in my guild, so I wouldn't be surprised if most guilds have a rough time getting guild members to use some of the outside resources they've put together. Nowadays, there are so many ways to make a guild website and so many different things you can do with one that most every guild has at least one place...

Last week end I was invited, by Kent Guild of Spinners, Dyers and Weavers, to tutor a Creative Spinning workshop. This annual members event runs from 11.15am to 3.30pm so there wasn't a lot of time for them to get their heads round Creative Spinning using an image as a source of inspiration. I just love felting fibres and we had an excellent felting workshop at the Derbyshire guild back in April run by Penny Marsden. It was called 3D Felting - 'Lets make a Mitten or Two' and that's just what we all did. I made a lovely pair of mittens for myself that have come in very useful now the weather is getting colder. Way back in March this year we had a Vegetarian Platter of Dyeing workshop run by Mary Hawkins, one of the Derbyshire Guild members.
