Carmel's Luigs gets top honor

Joe Luigs didn't hit a shot or earn a dime at the 1999 U.S. Open Championship at Pinehurst (N.C.) Resort, but he left with a trove of memories. Luigs served as the U.S. Golf Association's walking rules official with Hank Kuehne's group during the opening round.
