An assistant Johnson County prosecutor has been ticketed for shoplifting deodorant and liquid bandages, according to court records. Roger Nordeen tried to steal two liquid bandage packages and two sticks of clinical strength deodorant Sunday at an Overland Park Price Chopper at 11700 W. 135th Street, according to police records.

Shawnee Mission park officials reported today that 313 deer were killed by volunteer sharpshooters last week. Randy Knight, a spokesman for the Johnson County Park and Recreation District, said that the first phase of the park’s deer harvest has ended and that the herd will be surveyed later this month to determine whether more deer should be killed.
