11 National Championships and 7 Heisman Trophy winners. Notre Dame was at one point the most prestige program in America. Producing coaching greats such as, Lou Holtz and Knute Rockne and players like Tim Brown and Joe Montana Notre Dame was football. If you had division one talent you wanted to wear the blue and gold and go "win one for the gipper."
