In 1996, the MLS was established. That same year, DC United drafted Princeton graduate Jesse Marsch. He has played for DC United, Chicago Fire, Chivas USA and represented US internationally from 2001-2007. Today, Marsch has announced his retirement after a fourteen years in the league. The veteran MLS player has accepted a job with the U.S. national team as an assistant coach.
