11. Super Mario Galaxy I'm pretty sure Super Mario Galaxy is the most recent release on this entire list (barely edging out Portal by a matter of days). Less than two years is a pretty quick turnaround time for a game to make the top of so many people's list of personal favorites. But I think it's telling that Super Mario 64 is nowhere to be seen on the list; clearly...

by: Sean Colleli NEWS - Last week in Nintendo’s traveling airstream trailer John, Chuck and I had the chance to test-drive a few of the publisher’s holiday products. Up first was arguably their most anticipated 2009 title, New Super Mario Bros Wii , the sequel to 2006’s Mario platformer revival on DS. The three of us teamed up with Janie, Nintendo’s very friendly...

... narrative something other than a mixed metaphor. No human has yet improved on this. 3. Super Mario Galaxy Everything you ever wanted to know about gravity but were afraid you'd get beaned with an apple for asking. Coming: Super Mario Relativity! 4. Pac-Man Championship Edition Toss-up as to whether Ms. Pac-Man or this is the sweetest Pac-game. If you're pressed for time, though,...

This week’s episode of GameTrailers TV was all about Nintendo’s upcoming software lineup. While confirming a 2010 release for Metroid other M, and Super Mario Galaxy 2, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime wouldn’t budge on Zelda Wii launch dates. “We haven’t committed to Zelda in 2010…We’ll have to see how that continues to develop.”...

It's not that we want to rush Nintendo in the creation of their next opus, but it might have been nice to have it in 2010. Perhaps the biggest of the "big three" Nintendo franchise games in the works (along with Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M) is "tracking" for 2010 but Nintendo isn't committed to the year. I'm guessing they're not going to push for a holiday...

... see how that continues to develop," retorted Reggie. He did, however, reconfirm that Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M are committed to 2010, so that's at least two big titles to look forward to next year, Wii fans. And looking more toward the immediate future, Reggie also made a bold challenge to Infinity Ward: He predicted that New Super Mario Bros. Wii will...

2010 is looking like it could be the Wii's best year, in terms of first-party game support. The year promises Sin and Punishment 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Metroid: Other M, so long as everything goes according to plan. Hell, we may even catch a glimpse or two of the upcoming Zelda Wii, though Reggie makes no promises. Needless to say, even the Regginator is excited about Nintendo 10'...

Starstruck (5:22) There’s a place for a good introspective by a famous Brit. Unfortunately, Robbie’s two years late, although massively nicer to the rain forest, had any of the two required dead trees for distribution. I’m not even sure his attempt mixes all that well with space opera (it’s very jazzed-up Super Mario Galaxy, except that [...]

Which games do you secretly enjoy'. As the popular saying goes, one man’s meat is another man’s poison. There may be something that almost everyone loves, but there will always be someone who hates it. I’ve seen a few comments on our forum saying Super Mario Galaxy is rubbish, for example. Click here to read the [...]
