In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, several hours before the vast majority of the local MSM typed or spoke one word about the Bucs defrocking defensive coordinator Jim Bates, Joe speculated the move may have been a desperation stunt by either general manager Mark Domink and/or coach Raheem the Dream to secure their own [...]

Here's a simple question for Raheem Morris and Mark Dominik: Who's left to blame now? You ran the offensive coordinator away before the season even started. And now, you stripped defensive coordinator Jim Bates of his duties after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense fell to the bottom of the National Football League.

Let this be known as the second time in the history of JoeBucsFan.com that Joe has linked to a John Romano column. The columnist for the St. Petersburg Times came out firing last night (Joe was awake when the column was posted) at the Bucs hierarchy, namely general manager Mark Dominik and coach Raheem the Dream [...]

... cap, both for good and for bad. “The first rule of getting out of salary-cap problems,” said Mark Dominik, the general manager, “is to stop spending.” Which the Bucs did. From the 2004 season to the 2008 season, the Bucs ranked 32nd of the 32 teams in the NFL in total dollars spent on players, according to NFL.com. The Bucs in those five years spent almost $120 million less on players...

... Rich McKay, who put together the team that won Super Bowl XXXVII, against new general manager Mark Dominik, who is too busy playing musical coordinators to worry about who’s on the field. And it’s a game nobody outside One Buc Place thinks the Bucs have a chance at winning. And they’re probably right, except for some similarities between the Falcons and another team...

... field and be hands-on again.” Joe suspects the Glazers are not about to let Raheem The Dream and Mark Dominik go coordinator-shopping in the offseason if the head coach can’t bring the Bucs up from putrid to below average on defense. This is it for Raheem The Dream. If he can’t perform better than Jim Bates, then what good is he?

... Greg Olson. It’s unclear if the original hires were made solely by Morris or if general manager Mark Dominik was also heavily involved. In short, Biggs suggests that Raheem the Dream has put himself on an island. Any and all mistakes from now until the end of the season will fall squarely in Raheem the Dream’s lap. No more coordinators are left to oust.

When Raheem the Dream (or Mark Dominik, or Bryan and/or Joel Glazer) fired the first of two Bucs coordinators, Jeff Jagodzinski, the decision by the team’s hierarchy to re-up Greg Olson’s contract was made simultaneously, so reports Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune. Despite a Tuesday report from an Internet-only, Bucs fan site known for its defunct [...]

In a recent piece typed by Joe Henderson, the Tampa Tribune columnist all but skinned Bucs general manager Mark Dominik. While Joe enjoyed a late-morning breakfast Tuesday of biscuits and gravy — sprinkled with paprika — and a side order of hash browns, he was surfing through his blackberry — the 21st Century version of spreading out the fishwraps – for reactions to the Bucs defrocking...

Longtime NFL executive Michael Lombardi, now firing shots on NationalFootballPost.com, offered his take on the ugly realities at One Buc Place. To say Lombardi is left unimpressed by Mark Dominik and Raheem The Dream would be a major understatement, particularly when it comes to the firing of Jim Bates. And based on what’s going on in Tampa [...]

The too-long nightmare of Bucs fans has come to an end. Disgusted with how the Bucs rush defense — dead last in the NFL — was getting lit up game after game after game and seeing zero improvement since the season began, Bucs coach Raheem Morris and general manager Mark Dominik decided to “relieve” defensive coordinator [...]

Kaufman also said Raheem The Dream and Mark Dominik’s recent decisions are being scrutinized ”at the upper levels” where it’s being asked, “Can we trust these guys'” and “If you can’t pick a coordinator, how can you pick a cornerstone [in the draft]? It’s an open debate right now.”
