Jaguars RB MauriceJones-Drew rushed 29 times for 97 yards in Week 9 against Kansas City, including a 10-yard touchdown -- his 11th of the season. He also caught three passes for 37 yards.
The Jaguars host the Chiefs in Week 9 and Jacksonville RB MauriceJones-Drew will be looking for his third straight superb outing. Over his past two games, Jones-Drew has totaled 310 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Kansas City ranks 26th against the run this season.
David Garrard will retain his option to change plays at the line of scrimmage, but MauriceJones-Drew is likely to get the ball, regardless of what the Kansas City Chiefs defense does.
Jaguars RB MauriceJones-Drew provided the lone highlights in a 30-13 loss to the Titans in Week 8, running for 177 yards and taking the NFL lead in rushing touchdowns with runs of 80 and 79 yards. But the Jaguars only gave him eight carries. He also had one catch for minus-4 yards. Jones-Drew leads the NFL with 10 rushing touchdowns.
