When Paul Greengrass quit the Bourne franchise last week, that had to cause a few sweat-stained undershirts at Universal. Not necessarily because Greengrass was leaving , although that is a bad situation, but because Matt Damon is so in sync with Greengrass' vision that he might not be willing to continue without the director. It seems that Matt Damon's memory is pretty short, he doesn't remember that the first Bourne film was directed by Doug Liman, however he is sure of one thing, Paul Greengrass will be making the next Bourne film with him, and he doesn't want to make it with anyone else. I do find this a little surprising. After all if the franchise can change hands once, it can change hands again. Of course...

Matt Damon’s first collaboration with director Paul Greengrass was 2004’s The Bourne Supremacy (in my opinion the best of the series). We’ll have to wait until next March to find out how Green Zone compares. Based loosely on the book Imperial Life in the Emerald City the story follows a CIA search for WMDs during [...]
