Will Lynch underbus Warman before the Committee

... or corruption of Commission process or procedure was the result of the pernicious influence of Richard Warman. The beauty of this is that Warman is not at the Commission any longer. Another is that it defangs the argument that s.13 really was Warman’s law. For Lynch the downsides are minimal. She can suggest that Warman was a bit more zealous than was acceptable...

Steyn and Levant Declare War For Canada

... over the last seven years have been filed by a smarmy left wing lawyer, and ex-HRC staffer, named Richard Warman. Warman’s M.O. is to go on websites where he expects to find whackos, like www.wheresthefuhrerwhenyouneedhim.org, and post incendiary comments. Then, when somebody responds to his post of “jews suck” with their own post of “damn straight they suck!”, he nails them...

Kneeslapper of the day: Richard Warman is being investigated by the CHRC for hate speech!

Read all about it at Ezra Levant's blog. It sounds like a bad April Fool's joke. But I suspect that the CHRC is trying to throw Warman overboard because his behaviour has been a liability to that institution. If they're seen as being "even-handed", I think they figure that the public will have more sympathy for them. I also wonder if this is for real . Will it go to tribunal? Will...

Richard Warman in the CHRC’s sights, wonder if he can afford a Lawyer.

Richard Warman, the hate speech complainant who is personally responsible for all but two section 13 censorship prosecutions this decade, is now being investigated by the Canadian Human Rights Commission for hate speech himself. I know. It sounds crazy. Just like it sounded crazy when it was revealed that Warman and the CHRC were members of neo-Nazi [...]

Free speech follies: Maclean's smartens up

Well, well, well. In this week's Maclean's magazine (no link on-line as yet): EDITOR'S NOTE: In the Sept. 21 article "The CHRC tells itself to shape up" (National), we reported that Human Rights Commission staff hacked into the email account of a private citizen to post racist comments on a website. Maclean's is satisfied that there is no evidence to suggest that either Richard Warman...

Lynch lies again

At the Hearings of the Parliament of Canada Justice and Human Rights Committee, the coward Lynch stated that there was only one current s. 13 matter being dealt with by the Commission. She conveniently forgot the Marc Lemire has filed a s. 13 against Richard Warman for the assorted messages Warman posted to the net. Now, [...]

Macleans apologizes and leaves an article up

In the Sept. 21 article “The CHRC tells itself to shape up” (National), we reported that Human Rights Commission staff hacked into the email account of a private citizen to post racist comments on a website. Maclean’s is satisfied that there is no evidence to suggest that either Richard Warman or commission staff did so. We regret the statement.

Deb was in the Room

The wonderful Deborah Gyapong took time off from swimming the Tiber (and her posts on that are deeply moving) to stop by the Justice Committee hearing today. There she snapped some pictures. Richard Warman was there. It was interesting to see him in person. He asked me to identify myself because I was taking pictures and [...]

Lucy and Jenny sitting in a tree

By the way, guess who Lynch was sitting beside during the second hour of the meeting? Richard Warman who is under investigation for hate speech. I’ll let you draw any conclusions about the appropriateness of that. The Miss Marprelate Tracts Too bad no one snapped a picture. But if this is true and there is no reason [...]

Transcript of Committee Hearing

Let me say a little bit about the Canadian Human Rights Commission, which is actually nearby. The Canadian Human Rights Commission has been involved in recent years with an utterly odious human being called Richard Warman. It seems that one of Mr. Warman’s main forms of recreation is to prowl the Internet looking for [...]

Ez and Mark school Parliament

My workday is shot… Just watched Ezra and Mark give chapter and verse on the prefidities of the CHRC. Some of the members of the Justice Committee knew this stuff, for some it was brand new. Ez and Mark could not help but mention Richard Warman over and over. It would certainly be interesting if Warman were [...]
