The Chiefs have ruled out RB Kolby Smith for Week 13 vs. Denver because of an ankle injury. Dantrell Savage is doubtful with an ankle injury, so the Chiefs have a depth problem in their backfield. That leaves only starter Jamaal Charles at the halfback position. FB Tim Castille would become the No. 2 if Smith and Savage can't play.
