Here’s an unusual development–the series that was doing werewolves and vampires before Twilight made it a kid-friendly fun ride, Underworld, is getting a bit of a boost for its fourth installment. Seems one of the writers of the celebrated series The Shield has been hired to handle the scripting duties for Underworld 4. Specifically, writer John [...]

... friend get married; I am grateful for Hank Moody, Ari Gold, Dr. Christian Troy and Detective Vic Mackey; for the roof over my head, for the warm boots that keep my feet toasty, for reaching 40, and for 8 years of marriage and counting. I am grateful for Robert Downey Jr., and Quentin Tarantino, Daniel Craig as the new 007 and Joaquin Phoenix (though I wish he would lose that scruff). I am...

Ever since I unveiled the blog logo (designed, again, by blog reader/commenter David Loehr ), I frequently get questions from people (either on the blog or on Twitter) asking me to either explain the theme, or to identify one or more of the four people (the worst was when a bunch of you didn't recognize Mickey from "Rocky" and I briefly felt older than Methuselah), or about where you can...

... give Russell some love, too. Not only does he look like Michael Chiklis but he pulled a big time Vic Mackey police raid on the Aiga camp. He would have found that Idol if it were hidden in a production van. With eight Galu guns drawn on him from all sides Russell found a way to turn the tables. Much like the 1995 Seattle Mariners he refuses to lose. He just won't let them vote him out.Although,...

... proved series creator was throwing down the gauntlet – letting you know right from the start that Vic Mackey was far more than just an "edgy" cop, but rather someone who was capable of truly evil acts. And he was going to be the focal point for this extremely intense, gritty series and the incredible ride it took its audience on for seven seasons. But to simply describe Vic as evil of course...

... (last November) it still feels like there still isn't closure, I think that for fans of the show, Vic Mackey is still out there and stuff is still going to go down. Shawn Ryan: I think you bring up a decent point. I think that for some characters there is closure, like Shane, but you're right, I think the characters are alive and out there and I'm curious as to what is going on with them....

"The Shield" ended last year after seven explosive seasons, but have we really seen the last of corrupt cop-turned-fed Vic Mackey ( Michael Chiklis )? The critically acclaimed show's creator, Shawn Ryan , shoots straight with ET. "It's something I want to always leave the door open for," Ryan says about the possibility of a "Shield" spin-off. "Michael and...
