The man who killed a young Pierce County couple over a $50 debt was sentenced to life in prison with possibility of parole Friday. Daniel Tavares, 41, was sentenced in Pierce County Superior Court after pleading guilty earlier to aggravated first-degree murder, as part of a plea deal.
