Prosecutors reviewing the death of a New York City woman who died in police custody at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport last year have cleared the officers involved of any criminal wrongdoing. The family of Carol Anne Gotbaum, who died in police custody at a Phoenix airport in September, has filed a claim against the city of Phoenix, the first step in filing a wrongful death suit. Attorneys for the Gotbaum family did not provide a copy of the claim, but The Arizona Republic reported on its Web site that it seeks $8 million.
