Relatives of Brian and Beverly Mauck on Thursday met with the Pierce County prosecutor and urged him to seek the death penalty against Daniel Tavares. "We just want him to suffer," said Beverly's mother.

The chief justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court said Kathe Tuttman applied the law to the facts when she freed Daniel Tavares Jr. "Today, unfortunately, she is living every judge's nightmare," Chief Justice Barbara Rouse said.

The Judge needs to pay for her mistake. Resigning is not enough. She has not even made any statements showing remorse for her error.
