In a perfect emblem of (1) how insular the media really is and (2) the national spotlight that will continue to focus on the Governor of Alaska wherever she goes, Sarah Palin did one of those typical silly ceremonies politicians across the country get asked to take part in, and went and pardoned a turkey in advance of Thanksgiving. But while the President has a turkey brought to him, Gov. Palin went...
WARNING: Video contains live footage of animals being killed. In her role as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin pardoned a Thanksgiving turkey. Then she gave an interview to a local news station while turkeys were slaughtered in the background. Uh… whoops. Here’s to an increase in Tofurkey sales this year. addthis_url [...]
By Michael J.W. Stickings As you may have heard already -- and you may even have seen the clip -- Sarah Palin (you know, the governor of Alaska), pardoned a turkey and then gave an interview to a local TV station with turkeys being slaughtered in the background. How ironic. She's such an animal lover, but the only thing she loves is killing them. And don't think she doesn't -- remember that prank call...
Here's Sarah Palin, up in Alaska, just talking about some stuff. And what's that behind her? Oh that's some dude slaughtering some giant turkeys and putting them into some kind of meat grinder. No big deal. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Permalink | post a comment | Add to del.icio.us | Digg Post tags: Alaska, sarah palin, Thanksgiving
WASILLA, Alaska - Gov. Sarah Palin has granted the traditional Thanksgiving pardon to a turkey, but the video that shocks some viewers captured what was happening in the background of her news conference. As she answered questions Thursday at...

Sarah Palin, back in her home state of Alaska, fulfilled one of her ceremonial roles as Governor yesterday and "pardoned" a turkey for the Thanksgiving holiday. The bird behind her during this interview wasn't so lucky.
Regular readers know of my dislike (to put it mildly) of the Thanksgiving holiday. Pero if I needed a reason to not celebrate, it could very well be this video of the once starry eyes U.S. VP hopeful, Alaska's Governor...
Ah, politics . Just when you think everything's going to plan, you find out the script has been completely thrown out after one of the major players has "gone rogue." So Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (remember her?) learned at an event in which she "pardoned" a local turkey, as politicians sometimes do this time of year. Unbeknownst to the former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, while she was soaking...
WASILLA, Alaska (AP) -- Gov. Sarah Palin has granted the traditional Thanksgiving pardon to one lucky turkey, but the video that shocked some viewers captured what was happening in the background....

Well. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin pardoned a turkey in Wasilla yesterday. Then she took questions from the television press while standing in front of the turkey slaughtering operation. Some of you might not want to watch the video, but I've just got to post it. ( via , though I totally would have seen it I hadn't been watching basketball)
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin went to a turkey farm to pardon a turkey, but before leaving she agreed to do an an interview right in front of some guy who was feeding "live" turkeys into a slaughtering machine. Hopefully the turkey Governor Palin "pardoned" is not the one you see being fed into the killing machine. WATCH VIDEO HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-kjM1asH-8
