Because he's impotent! He can't get it up! " Oil-speculation bill blocked WASHINGTON - Senate Republicans blocked action yesterday on legislation proposed by the Democrats to curb speculation in energy markets and reduce record oil prices. The measure, sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, didn't get the 60 votes required to end debate and bring it to a final vote." Just wondering why the...

This is going to shock the hell out of some IRS auditors I know. This is funny, except when you consider that the point Reid is trying to make is (I think) that you can avoid paying taxes if you stop making money . Meaning that if you quit your job and become dependent on government subsidies and entitlements you can stop paying taxes. Which is true, I guess, but not exactly in keeping with the principles...

At least "Tailgunner" Joe had a reason to chase boogey-men during the Cold War. Are there any Democrats questioning why their fearless U.S. Senate leader is focusing so heavily on polygamists when there are plenty of other important issues facing America? Here is what Old Joe and Old Harry have in common in their witchhunts: some people were/are guilty of crimes...there were commies in the State Department...

The liberal media is losing patience with the Democratic intransigence on oil exploration. Even New York Times reporters are tired of $4/gallon gas. And Harry Reid doesn't like it one bit . Reporters tried to pin Reid down Thursday on the amendment issue. In the exchange, Reid told one reporter she should " watch the [Senate] floor more often. ... You might learn something ." Another reporter explained...

From Josh Orton at MyDD, who knows how things operate in the Senate, comes this analysis of which GOP Senators have been willingly rolled by their obstructionist colleague, Tom Coburn. These are the Republican Senators who will either side with their own policy initiatives or side with Tom Coburn. Harry Reid is giving them that choice: And since many of the bills were bipartisan, quite a few Republican...

Sen Harry Reid Apparently Thinks $5.00 is not a Problem. While Americans are suffering, Harry Reid, per usual, wants to ‘wait and see’. In other words, Harry Reid gave the typical congressional response confirming that he and others in congress aren’t going to do a thing to earn their ridiculously high incomes. Harry Reid and Nancy [...]

The battle against big-government, redistributionist, collectivist politicians is never-ending. A revealing video of an interview with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tells us why it’s so hard to convince these people of the error of their ways: They’re simply clueless. I seriously doubt that there is a snowballs chance in hell of this bill getting a vote in Ringside Harry Reid's Senate, simply because it would put Democrats in the awkward position of having to either supporting the bill and angering the Shamnesty base or oppose it and turning off a large majority of voters that recognize that providing legal ID's to Illegal immigrants is a bad idea.
