The Partnership for Paws, will hold a free pet vaccination event from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Precinct 4 office. Qualifying pet owners may also receive vouchers for spay/neuter services as well. The vouchers will be issued to set appointments for spaying or neutering at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.

After more than two years of planning and a series of setbacks, construction of the Town Center fountain has started at the corner of Kingwood Drive and West Lake Houston Parkway. The site consisted of a hole in the ground, and Kingwood Art School students painted a mural to cover the area until the project was under way.

“Dry summer conditions have led to an increase in the number of wildfires in Montgomery County with 10 fires occurring yesterday (July 17),” said Williams. “Although some areas have received sporadic rainfall, Montgomery County is considered moderately dry with some areas already reaching severe levels.”
