WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- New Zealand's national airline has adopted a cheeky way to encourage passengers to watch its in-flight safety video: The cabin crew's uniforms are nothing but body paint. The "Bare Essentials of Safety," screening in the cabins of planes flying Air New Zealand's main domestic routes, has gone viral online. It had 1.2 million YouTube views by Friday, four days after it was...

Don’t pull it until you’re leaving the aircraft. Is it just me or are they all cracking up through this whole thing or is just their bright, happy smiles and, erm, chests? Via BBG

You have probably heard of the naked airline safety video from Air New Zealand. If you haven't, here it is: But on the other end of the New Zealand advertising spectrum, New Zealand also is home to a couple of roadway safety signs that feature faces of children. The children's faces bleed when it rains to remind drivers to be careful: Between these two ads and Flight of the Conchords , New Zealand...

I’m not even sure what to say about this commercial from Air New Zealand other to say – watch it very carefully. It took me a few moments even to catch on to what is happening, make me almost wish I was a cameraman. As an added bonus here is the video of behinds the [...]

I fly. A lot. And sometimes I think I could give the safety announcements at the start of the flight better than most of the crew. But if I ever fly on Air New Zealand, well, I’ll be paying closer attention (the video is safe for work, unless you work at United Airlines). That cracked me [...]

In addition to a regular commercial, the campaign includes a three-and-a-half-minute on-board safety video.

While there’s no nudity, Air New Zealand has come up with a creative way to get passengers to pay attention to the safety video that plays during flights with their “Nothing To Hide” campaign. Shameful…because I watched all the way through, waiting to see chesticles @ least. The last lady was mighty thick. I wonder [...]

Filed under: Airlines Last month we told you about Air New Zealand's clever and quirky ad campaign that featured their crew in body-painted uniforms . Well, those creative Kiwis are at it again, and this time they're mixing the risque with the safety (that's close enough to a rhyme for me). They've gone ahead and filmed their entire flight safety video in body paint. Seatbelt instructions? In body...

Printer-friendly version Air New Zealand says they do not add any extra fees to their low airfares, like some other airlines do. Checked baggage and complimentary refreshments are included in the fare. "What you see is what you pay" To prove that, they got some Air New Zealand staff volunteers, a camera crew, some brushes, lots of body paint, and went with the bare minimum to show Air New Zealand...

I hope that a Delta Airlines international crew doesn't do this . If you have flown a Delta international flight, you will know what I mean.

My wife is a flight attendant who works for a major airline, so I pay a lot of attention to airline-related subject matter. One interesting item I came across today is a “Bare Essentials” safety video below from Air New Zealand. Thankfully, none of the Kiwis who appeared on camera in the piece appear to [...]
