"One big fact has largely been lost in the recent coverage of the Democratic presidential race: Hillary Rodham Clinton has virtually no chance of winning ,” write Jim Vandehei and Mike Allen. A developer for the M.T.A.-owned West Side Yards could be decided as soon as tonight . Ray Kelly still has no plans to run for mayor . John McCain's passport file was also breached . Barack Obama wants congressional...

The video embedded below is a prime example of why the Internet is great. You've maybe heard by now that the girl Hillary Clinton used in her "3 AM" commercial is actually a Barack Obama supporter, but now, thanks to YouTube, we have a response to the video - from the girl. 20 years ago this would never have been possible, now it will go viral (it already has quarter of a million views in two days)....

Filed under: Media , Teenager , 15-19 years , Celebrity kids , Making a Difference , In the News Remember Casey Knowles, the girl whose stock video from eight years ago turned up in a Hillary Clinton ad even though she is now a staunch Obama supporter? The Clinton ad, of course, did nothing wrong -- stock video is there to be used for just about any purpose, including making television ads for political...

By Libby Via Michael Stickings at The Reaction , the YouTube you've been waiting for.... well, at least I was waiting for it. The little sleeping girl in Hillary's ad woke up, grew up and now speaks for herself -- and Obama. Poor Hillary is not having a good week. That 3:00am ad is now useless to her and the press suddenly remembered how much they hate her again and have been pounding her for days....

[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXmYVRIpu2w] When Hillary Clinton made her ad with the 3 a.m. phone call she used stock footage from eight years ago. The girl in the ad has made a video urging people to reject the politics of fear which Hillary Clinton uses to get votes. Instead she endorses the politics of hope as practiced by Barack [...]

Patchwork Nation dispenses with the red/blue state divide; Obama and the coming digital presidency; Jeff Jarvis on what Google would do; online attention to Obama raises questions; shocker: IT workers split between McCain and Obama; a random example of old media/new media advertising; Hillary Clinton running from sniper fire in Bosnia? A video shows otherwise; and the girl in Clinton's "3am" ad is...

I'm sure by now everybody is sick and tired of the US campaign season (regardless of where you live). However, for anyone interested in studying the use of images, campaign season of course is one of the most fruitful periods, and TV ads are often most revealing (albeit not in the way the campaigns originally intended). Take this TV ad by the Clinton campaign and this response by the Obama campaign....

A brilliant rebuttal from the Obama campaign: "I'm Casey Knowles, and I approve this message . And not the other one." Thanks to Siva Vaidhyanathan for the pointer.
