After being announced, Bush was showered by boos as he strode to the mound. Even after Bush delivered the pitch, the jeering did not let up until the President disappeared from the field. Watch [...]

George W. Bush threw out the first pitch of the baseball season for the Washington Nationals tonight. His reception was what one would expect. And trust me, this isn’t one of those videos where you’ll think, “Wait, are they really booing?” Sure, you’ll hear some cheers, but the boo birds are overwhelming. The times we live in…

The left blogosphere's getting worked up over President Bush's opening-night first-pitch at the new home of the Washington Nationals. Bush was booed, but also cheered, as Ben Feller points out: By the time Bush emerged onto the baseball field, he had ditched the gray sports coat and popped out of the home dugout in a red Nationals jacket. He was greeted by plenty of loud jeers, but also determined...

I’ll never understand why people can’t control themselves. Even if you disagree with Bush’s policies, is it truly necessary to boo him when he’s throwing the first pitch at the new Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHUAsTrl4JI ©2008 PoliGazette.
