Guido beat me too it because I had to leave the office and catch a train, but this latest video on the Downing Street YouTube channel is a brilliant example of how crazy the bunker has become. What on earth is happening in there to make them think that wasting their time and resources on making this would be seen in a positive light?

When almost 50,000 people signed an online petition calling for Jeremy Clarkson to be made the Prime Minister they can't have ever thought that they would be taken seriously. And today it emerges that they weren't. But they've not been ignored either. Instead the Prime Minister's office has sent-up their request in a video reply (which is actually quite funny). "We thought long and hard about the...

This innocuous, and some might say genius (I wouldn’t), video response - to a time-wasting Clarkson for PM petition - has caused plenty of faux-outrage from the rightwing blogosphere. Get a life you desperate twats. ShareThis

Guido Fawkes has a few words to say about wasting tax payers money. If I was bored in work and had a video camera I would be proud to produce something like this!

A while ago a petition was launched on the number 10 petitions website that saw nearly 50,000 people call on the Prime Minister to make Jeremy Clarkson the … well Prime Minister. There have been some pretty surreal petitions on that site - many of them involving Jeremy Clarkson but this is the one that gained [...]

Who says Gordon doesn’t have a sense of humour? An amusing video response from the Number 10 website to the petition to make Top Gear Presenter Jeremy Clarkson PM. By the way, the Number 10 site works on WordPress, as does the Top Gear site.

It's the silly season and news is thin on the ground. In London's Westminster district - from where the UK is supposedly governed - politicians, lobbyists and civil servants are either on holiday in Tuscany or looking for creative ways to fill the dog days of August. Some officials in the Prime Minister's office have been busy with video content for the Number 10 website. There's an amusing video...
