It’s fun when you see major companies really begin to understand the nature and cultural ins ands outs of your particular subculture. Despite the fact that YouTube has grown over the last couple years that it’s a little large to be called a subculture, the majority of corporations out there wouldn’t know what to do or where to begin if they see something with the potential to turn into negative publicity...

As a response to a fan video regarding a bug in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 game, EA Sports and Tiger Woods demonstrate that the “glitch” (where it’s possible for Woods to walk on water) Levinator25 thought he found in the game, is not a glitch at all. Link [YouTube] - via Micro Persuasion

Filed under: Sports , Video There are really only two ways of handling a glitch. Fix it in a patch or convince everyone who experienced it that it never happened in the first place. EA, as you can see in the above video, has provided the most impressive example of that second method we've ever seen. After seeing one user's "Jesus Shot" video from Tiger Woods 08 , (you'll find it just after the break),...

In an age where anyone can speak up, and anyone can criticize you, the first reaction of many folks is to hit back hard -- even trying to take down critical info. As we all know, that's exactly the wrong thing to do. But, it's still quite difficult to turn something that's negative into a positive quite as well as video game company EA just did. Mathew Ingram has the details , but basically, when last...

It’s fun to see a company respond directly to a user’s complaint about a glitch in the system — but EA takes this guy’s bug report and says, no, wait, that’s actually supposed to happen. And before this morning, I didn’t have a favorite Jonas Brother. But today’s investigation into their YouTube oeuvre has opened my [...]

If Electronic Arts is to be believed, not only is Tiger Woods a fantastic golfer, he can also lift moves directly from Christ's playbook and walk on water to retrieve any errant shots. This clip comes in response to a...

This video response is brilliant marketing on the part of Electronic Arts and Tiger Woods. A fan posted on YouTube that it's possible for Woods to hit a golf ball in Tiger Woods 08 while walking on water. How does...

I’m a huge Tiger Woods fan. The man completely revitalized the sport of golf at a time when it desperately needed an infusion of youth, color (literally and figuratively), and energy. Not only that, he’s one of the best golfers in the history of the sport, with such incredible performances as his playoff win in this year’s U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, which he pulled off with a double stress fracture...

This totally made my day! So I haven't had the chance to take EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 game for a test drive, but I guess people were complaining about a part in the game where Tiger walks on water to hit a golf ball onto the green — calling it out as a glitch. Turns out, EA Sports whips a vid to prove that Tiger can in fact conquer a 'Jesus Shot' . The evidence below. . .

Filed under: Fan stuff , Videos A video response to a classic YouTube video that poked fun of a glitch in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 where Tiger makes a shot for Par while standing on water is making the rounds this week online. EA Sports has released a new promotional video that tries to disprove the animation was a glitch by showcasing the skills of the real man himself. The video above, which was...

I have to agree with Steve Rubel of Micropersuasion, whose post I came across on Twitter: this video by Electronic Arts and Tiger Woods — a response to a YouTube video posted by a fan of the EA Tiger Woods golf game about a seemingly impossible shot — is a great idea, and a great [...]

When Levinator 25 posted a video to YouTube showing a glitch in EA's PGA Tour 08, EA responded with the above video. The cynic in me says that Levinator 25 may have been a plant (or at least, co-opted...

Tiger Woods is the world’s greatest golfer, and now he’s walking on water. Rumor has it that he’s gonna resurrect David Duval’s game for his next miracle. Many of you are probably shocked to see Tiger Woods walking on water, but if you had listened to Tiger’s father Earl, you would have known this was coming. “Tiger [...] ShareThis

Tiger Woods Walks on Water, Tiger Woods 09, Commercial. Hat Tip to You Been Blinded for finding the video. I do not know if Tiger Woods or his EA Sports business partners understand the religious undertones of the commercial, but I do, and this is not my favorite commercial. I am not saying he did [...]
