After Hurricane Gustav blew through and Americans started searching for Sarah Palin , the Google and YouTube teams got down to business at the Republican Convention. A large part of Google's work with the convention lived in the clouds. Delegates registered and stayed informed through a cloud-based system that combined SalesForce and Google technology. The new system means simpler, faster communication...

When I started watching the official Republican video of the Palin Speech YouTube - Remarks by Sarah Palin the counter stood at 75,657. Forty-four minutes later -- the length of the speech -- the counter stood at 125,850. It's not Numa-Numa, but it is almost an hour long. Go figure. I'm sure the Obama team is. And this love really is better the second time around.

The Grand Old Party is having a big week as thousands of delegates, party leaders, celebrities, and honored guests are broadcasting themselves from the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. At upload booths stationed in the Xcel Energy Center, and on a mobile camera roving through the convention hall, the party faithful are taking the opportunity to tell the world why Senator John...

Good-bye glass ceiling. The Barracuda from Alaska is coming to tear you down. If there were any doubts about Sarah Palin (or women) they were shattered last night. Sarah Palin now stands astride both tickets, diminishing all those men with the exception of her Co-Maverick who had the guts to make history. And now we have [...]

It was a home run, if I may say so. I, like my good friend Digger , am admittedly not the biggest McCain fan out there, but his choice of a conservative governor of a conservative State as his running mate has really started to turn this election cycle around for me. How much better it is that she's so dang good at annoying liberals : For the record, I watched Obama's speech in full as well, and I...

I think it's worth taking a few minutes to revisit the highlight of the convention. I honestly find myself feeling more hopeful and optimistic for the future of this country than I have in months.

Actually, before I start, let me say something about Cindy McCain. Several people have said she was the most boring speaker at the convention, and I must agree, but there’s no reason for her to be a good speaker, is there? But it wasn’t so much her speech as it was the video of her [...]

Imagine the pressure that was on Governor Palin last night. The Democrats and their supporters in the elite media, in a disgusting display of "Palin derangement syndrome fever," dumped tons scorn and derision on her in the days since McCain named Governor Palin as his running mate. Those critics were convinced that the Governor of Alaska wasn't ready for prime time. Those nattering nabobs of negativism...

If she didn't silence some critics last night they are simply the loons that we all claim they are, as she showed herself to be a quite accomplished and down to earth woman, just like million and millions of others out there. Take the criticisms she has been buried under in the past week, much more than the Messiah himself has been able to take, that is a woman used to pressure and how to perform well...
