Seems the Lying Ratfuck Party doesn't give an option to embed their ads. So I had to go and find one of these turds on yootoob... You know, family is important and that's why Steve sits alone in his sweater vest wringing his hands, looking hungry and just a little special needy. Now that we've all seen Stevie Large in his back to school wardrobe, what have our friends over at the Adscam Party got for...

Initial Reaction : The NDP attacking the Tories rather than the Liberals? Nice for a change... Ad Intent : Attack Harper directly on the "leadership" question. I presume this is part of the NDP strategy of painting themselves as a more effective opposition than the Liberals. Tag Line : We Need a New Strong Things That Work : Jack sounds good at the end - this was a rare occasion when I didn't feel...

If you look to the right sidebar you can see the first NDP ad of the new campaign (also here ). It represents a change from the past, in that it focuses on Stephen Harper and ignores the Liberals completely. I really prefer that approach, and I hope the NDP keeps it up for the rest of the campaign. It never makes sense to me for opposition parties to attack each other overtly; what they ought to be...

But, it creeps me out the way Layton says NEW Democrats, as if to suggest that they might be new Democrats

The latest NDP political TV ad is what happens when you ask somebody who doesn't know how to write a "negative ad" write a "negative ad." The biggest problem with NDP commercial is that it actually looks like a pro-Harper spot. I mean it actually reinforces a prime Tory message by calling Stephen Harper a "strong leader" not once, not twice, but three times. Another problem is that the spot crams way...

During this upcoming campaign, I’m going to try to do two different things on top of commenting on the comings and goings on the campaign trail: I’ll be writing a weekly series on what issues we Canadians should really be addressing during the campaign, but don’t, and I’ll be offering my analysis of the media, [...]

It didn't take long after the NDP announced its ad strategy for the first ad to be made public. And so far, the reviews have been nothing but positive . But let's look at a few of the ways where future ads can likely improve on the first appearance of the New Kind of Strong theme: Now, the mere fact that the NDP has launched the first strike among the opposition parties and won praise from across partisan...

Second out of the election gate is the NDP with a new ad entitled “A New Kind of Strong”. Zig, the company in charge of the NDP ads, confirms that they will be ignoring the hapless Stephane Dion in favour of attacking the incumbent PM. This is the same strategy used by the [...]

Download ( MP4 ) This is the first NDP TV ad for the upcoming federal election campaign. I like it for a number of reasons. First, Jack is going directly after Stephen Harper. This is in keeping with the theme that he is running for Prime Minister, not just seeking to increase his seat count. The stark contrast between the dark blue and red against the bright, warm orange is a nice juxtaposition....

SNL's Sarah Palin. NDP's Conservative Party of Canada. nuff said. now if Layton can get this together & wake up some Canadians to a better Parliament? I might almost forgive him for what Harper has been up to since Layton put him there.
