Asked by FOX's Cavuto about possible RNC "retribution" against Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins (both of Maine) and Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter, hip-hop RNC Chair Michael Steele promises all three a primary.

News that RNC Chairman Michael Steele might support primary opponents for the three GOP stimulus defectors has made the rounds in the blogosphere today--but was Steele serious when he made the suggestion yesterday, pressed by Neil Cavuto in a TV interview? According to an RNC official, there are no plans to break from traditional RNC policy--which is to stay out of primaries unless state parties choose...

Prodded by Fox News's Neil Cavuto on what "retribution" he will exact against Senators Snowe, Collins, and Specter for their stimulus votes, RNC chairman Michael Steele suggests forthcoming primary challenges and says he'll consider withholding RNC funds from the offending moderates: "I'm always open to everything, baby, absolutely." Because who needs the advantages of incumbency when trying to retain...

This is why the GOP usually votes in lock-step. They're viciously brutal if you don't. It is interesting, however, that the chairman of the Republican party is talking about supporting primary challenges to Specter, Snowe and Collins simply because they supported the stimulus package. That's the Republicans' "big plan" for coming back to power: Push the country into an economic 9/11. Funny way to win...

Because they make DeMint, Vitter & Burr look like neo-Nazis My closest friend is from Maine. He's been in L.A. for more than half his life but I still hear the Maine weather report from him nearly every day. He'll always be a Mainer. This morning I read him a claim from one of the GOP's most extremist right-wing blogs that Arlen Specter, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe are "the three least popular...

This is the leadership we need: The Republicans in question would be Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. Now, I’ve heard all the arguments about “big tents” and “consensus building,” but ultimately…if the Republican party is to be the limited government party but the members of the party are going to vote for big government…what’s the point of being Republican? Why not just be Democrats...

If RNC chairman Michael Steele is trying to convince the American people that the party he now leads can be described as a "big tent," his latest rhetoric isn't likely to forward that goal. Take a look: Here's how Gateway Pundit writes up the exchange above: Yes! RNC Chairman Michael Steele told Neil Cavuto that he is open to cutting GOP funding for the 3 Senate traitors who voted for the Generational...

RNC Chairman Michael Steele is open to cutting off Sens. Specter, Snowe, and Collins for their heretical belief that country comes before party. The only one of the three up for re-election next year is Arlen Specter, in a state which Obama carried by 10 points. Wouldn't it be grand if he got knocked out in the primary by a right-wing know nothing? The last person like that to run statewide was Rick...

From Gateway Pundit Yes! RNC Chairman Michael Steele told Neil Cavuto that he is open to cutting GOP funding for the 3 Senate traitors who voted for the Generational Theft Act. My only problem with this is that Steele should have issued the warning before these 3 cast their votes for the Porkulus bill. A “real” GOP leader would not have to be talked into this position in an interview. He simply looks...

RNC Chairman Michael Steele told Neil Cavuto that he is open to cutting GOP funding for the 3 Senate traitors who voted for the largest spending bill in US history. Steele says he will wait and see what the state GOP parties decide about the traitors. Senators Specter, Snowe and Collins voted in favor of [...]
