President Obama was at a meeting with American Indian chiefs on Thursday when news broke that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a psychiatrist, had gone berserk and shot and killed 12 people and injured 31 others at Fort Hood Texas. Rather than somber, President Obama began his remarks with a joking [...]

Soccer can be a rough game, especially in the top-flight European leagues, where jersey pulls and raps on the shins are basically part of the fabric of the game. But it's apparently roughest in the Mountain West Conference's Women's Soccer Tournament, where BYU beat New Mexico 1-0 in the semifinals and probably only scored a draw in the battle royale. The two teams combined for what would seem like...

God bless her! It's nice to know that Sharon Osbourne will still say what everyone is thinking, but only funnier and with a British accent. Enjoy her thoughts on the talented but hairy Susan Boyle (above).

Major Malik Nadal Hasan, the shooter in today's Fort Hood attack, had made his pro-Islamic views well known in the past. Why was this lowlife allowed to continue to serve? Oh, I forgot the Pentagon does not have the guts to face Islam for what it really is. Don't be surprised to see more Muslim on non-Muslim attacks like this, within the US Military. Hat tip to Patrick.

Andy Cobb has had enough. A former pitchman for BlueCross Blue Shield of Florida, Cobb is breaking with the firm and speaking out in favor of health care reform and a public health insurance option. "This is the time when Americans have to choose which side we're on," Cobb told HuffPost, quoting Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio). "Is it the insurance companies or the American people?"...

All links come from Allahpundit’s excellent reporting. The Washington Post is reporting that Hasan is a “very devout” Muslim: He had been a “very devout” worshiper at the Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring, attending prayers at least once a day, often in his Army fatigues, said Faizul Khan, a former imam there. The WaPo and other [...]

I hate to bring this up on a Friday night or, honestly, to go here at all, but we live in a country where carrying around pictures of the Dachau death camp to “protest” health care reform makes you an authentic representative of real America. I wish there was a more pleasant way to say this. [...]

This morning's Good Morning America showed the first snippet of Rihanna's interview with Diane Sawyer, her first sit-down chat with a reporter since the February pre-Grammys incident in which she was assaulted by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown. And it's a pretty gripping---if somewhat quease-inducing---part of the discussion to lead off with, as Rihanna talks about how she now feels embarrassed to...

One of the most disturbing images from yesterday’s Tea Party rally against health care reform on Capitol Hill was a protester’s gruesome sign showing a pile of dead Holocaust victims. The banner — captured by ThinkProgress here — read: “National Socialist Health Care: Dachau, Germany – 1945.” Another sign said that “Obama takes his orders [...]

A little while ago, I spent some time thinking about that question and came up with a tentative answer: women's soccer needs more jerks playing it . I'd say the fact that ESPN Sports Center featured these highlights from the semifinals of a mid-major conference college tournament (i.e., not exactly the World Cup) helps my argument.

Wow. Just wow. I mean this is truly amazing--a gift from the Web gods. Not only is this man plastered and being mocked and filmed by his friends (which is kind of great to begin with) but he pulls off an unbelievable and incredibly informative stunt sure to garner praise for years to come. We won't spoil it for you, but suffice to say he's a genius. WATCH: Get HuffPost Comedy On Facebook and Twitter!...
