Libreville, Gabon - Gabon has decided to ratify the Convention of the Afr ican Energy Commission (AFREC), said President Omar Bongo in a press release, made available to PANA here Friday. The Minister of Energy, Mines, Oil, Hydrocarbon, Hydraulic Resource and Promotion of New Energies, Casimir Oyé Mba, has been mandated to sign on behalf of the Gabonese government.

Libreville, Gabon - Doctors and male nurses of the Libreville hospital Wednesday began an indefinite strike, the effects of which are felt in all the services, PANA observed Thursday. The hospital, which is the largest health provider in Gabon, accomodates patients from all the cities of the country because of its quality and low charges for medicare.
