SAPPORO — One of the traits of the Fighters' games at Sapporo Dome is the sincere fans' warm, enthusiastic cheering, perhaps more so than at any other ballpark. While their opponent Yomiuri Giants are considered to be the favorite to win in the ongoing Japan Series, Hokkaido Nippon Ham doesn't shrink from the challenge, partly because it feels like it has an edge with its fans.
