Seventy five civilians, most of them Tamil, were taken into custody in cordon and search operations conducted by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) and Police at Kotte and Gampaha in Colombo district from early morning till around 10 a.m. Sunday. The detainees were staying with the relatives and working in business establishments when they were arrested, sources said.
