Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi paid a previously unannounced visit to Middle East oil powerhouse Saudi Arabia on Saturday, the state news agency SPA reported. Berlusconi met King Abdullah and Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz separately to discuss unspecified bilateral issues before attending a banquet in his honour in the monarch's Jeddah palace, SPA said.
