Baseball was saddened to learn about the death of long-time scout Joe Lewis, who passed away Saturday evening in Somerset, Mass. He was 102. Lewis worked for Washington / Texas but started with Tal Smith in Houston, then to Washington/ Texas and on to Cleveland, KC and Detroit and briefly with the Rockies and Angels.
